Summer Fun!!

Well there goes one more summer weekend spent lounging about in the great outdoors with good company, good food and FUN!

Friday afternoon my mom, baby sis, two little cousins and I hiked to Stewart Falls up Sundance. It was so gorgeous!

Gyro LOVES water..and sticks. Especially big ones. So, when he found this log IN the water..he's in doggie heaven!

Friday night as soon as Sam got off work we headed to the hills (the head of Lake Creek) to enjoy the rest of the weekend with other family and friends. We got a little lost the first night, it got dark on us and we weren't able to find where everyone was camped so after almost 3 hours of driving, the dog started getting restless, Sam started getting frustrated, I was getting onery and hungry. We were NOT what you call happy campers! There were NO open camping spots ((not even crappy ones!)) and at this point (10pm) we were closer to Kamas than Heber and were going to just head home. BUT lucky for us, someone had gone up just for dinner and left their spot ((with the fire still warm)) just for us! The fire was easy to spark and we had camp set up in no time! The spot even had a cute little swing!

The wild flowers were ALL in bloom up there, it was so pretty!

Eating sugar like its water..thats what camping is for, right??!

The next day we loaded up and drove back to the summit to try to get cell service to call and get better directions. Turns out the night before we WERE on the right road and turned around about a quarter mile before the campsite. :( Oh well, we finally made it! I didn't do a very good job getting pics of everyone but we had lots of fun fishing, eating as much junk as possible and visiting around the campfire!
